Summary:
Orlando Orthopaedic Center (OOC) is in search of a Director of Revenue Cycle for a prominent private practice in Orlando, Florida. Since 1972, OOC has remained independently owned and has grown to include 25 orthopaedic specialists across multiple subspecialties with 8 branch offices and 4 walk-in clinic facilities.
This position is broader and more strategic than the traditional head of business office/patient financial services or head of reimbursement and includes responsibility for all operational areas of the revenue cycle including: Patient Access, Charge Entry, Revenue Integrity, Coding, Professional Billing and Collections, Customer Service, Cash Management, Payment Application, and collaboration on Contract Coordination.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Responsibilities:
- Strategic development implementation and operation of the Revenue Cycle department.
- Manage daily operations of the revenue cycle as well as play an integral role in strategic direction, goal setting and performance management of the revenue cycle department.
- Manage individual(s) including but not limited to:
- Hiring, training, assigning work, managing & evaluating performance, conducting professional development plans.
- Ensures the productivity and actions of the team meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Creates and maintains Revenue Cycle dashboard to report performance on the status of charge posting timeliness, time of service collections, accounts receivable, denial statistics, payor timeliness, coding & documentation completion compliance and other metrics that have an impact on revenue cycle results.
- Identify and track payor performance, including trends in denials, underpayments, timeliness, new policy implementation across divisions.
- Maintain payor report card of trends and hassle-factor situations for meetings with Provider Relations representatives.
- Maintain current knowledge on HIPAA Privacy and Security, Medicare Fraud and Abuse, Coding Compliance, and other regulatory requirements to ensure OOC remains compliant with all regulations as they relate to the revenue cycle process. Develop and maintain Corporate Compliance Plan for Orlando Orthopaedic Center, including provider documentation audits and education.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required preferably in business or healthcare administration. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience required in progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- Demonstrated strong leadership abilities required including self-motivation, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a team environment, including members of executive management, boards, medical staff, and team members.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills required. Must be able to handle multiple projects effectively and handle pressure well.
