Position Description
The End Dump Truck Driver - Equipment Operator 1 - is responsible for hauling materials/equipment around or to and from the jobsite.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
- Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform required pre and post inspections including but not limited to; motor oil, fuel, hydraulics, radiator, water tank and spray system, grease accordingly and keep the unit clean.
- Follow the direction of the Foreman and Quality Control Technician and perform the required rolling pattern to achieve the required density per specification.
- Complete a thorough equipment report and advise foreman of any problems that may arise through the Middlesex Application
- The following must be preformed daily; truck must be cleaned, windows washed, cab waxed, all aluminum polished and tired cleaned
- Follow daily procedures as instructed by Dispatch
Position Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/ GED Certificate
- 1-2 years End Dump Experience
- OSHA 10 Certified
- Valid Driver License
- Clean Driving Record
Necessary Attributes:
- Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
- Commitment to safety, quality, and integrity oriented with strong professional work ethics
- Demonstrate the ability to locate and check all fluid levels.
- Conduct an equipment walk around
- Identify/locate all grease/lubrication points on the end dump
- Discuss safe dump procedures
- Demonstrate/ Discuss operation of computer system for load counts
- Discuss techniques of driving on unstable soils
- Identify and discuss all gauges, indications and alarms on the control and instrument panels
- Demonstrate proper backing techniques using non-verbal communications with Operator
