Named by USA TODAY the “Number One Thing To Do In Orlando in December” for 2020, Give Kids The World Village's Night of a Million Lights holiday event is seeking individuals to fill full and part-time seasonal jobs from Tuesday, Nov. 9 - Tuesday, Jan. 4. Please note that all positions require work on nights, weekends and holidays, with shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm each night. Applicants will not be required to work every night.

Due to the nature of this event, we will be unable to grant requests for days off once shifts have been assigned to you. By submitting your application, you are acknowledging that you have complete flexibility and are able to work shift within the time frame outlined above.

SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE Ensure and monitor all aspects of the day-to-day NOAML cleanliness routines within Housekeeping are met and or exceed expectations. Has great attention to details in order to provide guest with a perfect storybook experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Cleaning of designated area

Clean designated area by following all cleaning standards and utilizing the proper chemicals. Dust all high and low areas and ensure interior walls/doors/vents are free of dust. Maintain floors by vacuuming all carpeted areas, sweeping porches, sweeping and steam mopping all tiled areas. Remove all outside trash/small debris and remove other trash as needed. Walk the Village to pick up trash. Remove debris from all bushes and trees. Equipment

Maintain a clean and organized working environment. Keeps Housekeeping carts organized and clean for proper working condition. Inspect vacuums for repairs or bag replacement. Collects and returns keys, radio and golf cart in an efficient manner. Monitors chemical volumes and communicates when items need to be ordered. Safe Work Environment

Follow all safety procedures to ensure personal and guest safety. Report areas in need of repair to coordinators or management or engineering in a timely fashion. Ensure guest safety by using available wet floor signs when mopping. Follow all driving policies while using golf carts. Monitor Venues

Conduct pre-shift meeting as needed. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Assist with cleaning projects as requested. All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, balance, use hands and arms for extended periods of time. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds, unassisted. Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include rotating shifts, nights, weekends and/or extended hours of work.

Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience

Ability to work independently with limited supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Customer-oriented and friendly. Good prioritization and time management skills. Ability to work quickly without compromising quality. Ability to communicate any needs or ideas to help improve work environment. Knowledge of English language. Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position. Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Give Kids The World is a drug-free workplace.
