Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative oversee sales order activities within a defined territory and manage orders by entering, picking, and scheduling trucks in order to get the customer their product as well as building customer relationships. The Customer Service Representative will report to the Customer Service Manager and work with their defined Regional Sales Manager in order to fill and complete truckloads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order management to include:
- Record, edit, and enter all new orders received via phone, email, fax, etc.
- Correspond with customer to include order acknowledgment, changes, status, and expedites.
- Customer quotes including pricing and availability (delivery).
- Enter return goods authorizations
- Proactive outgoing customer touches
- Proactive follow up on order status and on-time-delivery.
- Reporting on order management as required or requested.
- Maintain the customer relationship and sales data including:
- Pricing changes.
- Demographic changes (i.e., address).
- Product changes.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and follow procedures as specified by supervisor / manager, and company policy.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
- Resolve customer disputes and report any major customer dissatisfaction immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Five plus years of customer service experience.
- Highly organized, detailed oriented, and ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and/or experience within an ERP system such as JD Edwards.
- Individuals can be trained to our products, ordering system, and customer needs with strong desire to learn.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
