JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Park Services equipment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs of shop equipment such as Gas and Kerosene pressure washers, hydro scrubbers, pressure hoses, pumps and motors, back pack blowers, generators, sandman, street vacuums, carpet vacuums, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, wet vacs, carpet trailer, resort wide hand dryers and maid carts.
  • Responds to downtimes and recovery related issues such as hose repair, pressure washer failure, general equipment defects, and emergency chemical spills like oil, paint, and hydraulic fluid resort wide.
  • Provides input and entry into Mechanic Log of completion of P.M. inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made, and lists applicable parts used. Documents all findings and worked performed throughout the process of troubleshooting and performing repairs. Follows correct chain of command to notify appropriate management when necessary.
  • Completes qualifications and other job responsibility related training as assigned. Participates in recertification courses like NFPA-70E Electrical Safety and all Tech Core classes. Utilizes company resources to stay current on latest equipment.
  • Maintains an inventory of the most commonly used parts and partners with management to research parts and replacements to order from appropriate vendors.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • High School degree or GED required.
  • Technical School preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years advanced knowledge of ongoing maintenance and repair of small engines and cleaning equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Driver's license.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have the ability to work third shift.
