Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Interact with golfers, answer questions and provide directions Applies chemicals and fertilizers to resort areas in correct manner. Calibrates fertilizer and chemical application equipment. Uses hand spreaders, push spreaders, hand sprayer, backpack sprayer, walking hawk boom sprayer, riding sprayer. Familiar with the characteristics and proper use of fertilizers and chemicals. Chemical and fertilizer application and related record keeping and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Ensures that chemicals, and other controlled products are used, stored and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations; maintains required records and strives to minimize the use of chemicals and other controlled products. Able to perform basic mathematic calculations, calibrations and able to convert and understand fractions, decimals, and percentages when applying fertilizers and pesticides. Ability to safely apply fertilizers and pesticides and use the required PPE. Maintains application, equipment calibration, and product inventory records. Follows proper procedures in mixing and loading chemicals into application equipment. Keeps application equipment clean and reports any problems that need to be repaired to the supervisor. Keeps the chemical storage area clean and organized with dry products stored above liquid products Inform golfers of course conditions, rules and specific instructions for the day Utilize electric or motorized cart. Keep storage area clean, organized and stocked Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures Report maintenance defects to Manager Perform other duties as assigned

 

  • Education, Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 Years of Experience in Golf Course or Grounds Maintenance and/or Landscaping is required
  • State of Florida Commercial Applicator License for turf and ornamentals is required within 90 days of acceptance of the position
  • Green Industries Best Management Practices training and Urban Fertilizer License is required within 30 days of start date.
  • Best Management Practices for Golf Courses training license is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations to properly apply fertilizer and chemical applications.
  • Ability to communicate in written and oral forms.
  • Ability to work independently and in team setting.
  • Ability to interact well with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to operate a variety of small equipment and hand tools in safe manner.
  • Ability to adjust and learn new equipment operation and procedures.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of golf
  • Ability to interact with guests utilizing conversational English
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capable of performing role in a busy work environment
  • Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights and holidays
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines / instructions
  • Physical Requirements Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and / or reach repeatedly Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and carry, pull, and push heavy objects and materials Able to be on feet and moving around for entire shift Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside Ability to see, hear, smell and have manual dexterity to use all equipment
