The Southeast Program Manager for U.S. Citizenship Services manages the day-to-day operations of the organization’s U.S. Naturalization promotion and application assistance program in the Southeast Region, mainly in the Orlando Metropolitan Area. This position is part of the organization’s Civic Engagement Department which, directly integrates Latinos into the American political process, working at both the national and local levels, by informing, mobilizing, and empowering community members through a wide range of initiatives including U.S. Naturalization promotion and assistance, voter education and voter protection, and facilitating community participation in civic processes such as the decennial census. The organization’s efforts and communication style are strictly non-partisan in practice and philosophy.

The ideal candidate will develop and exhibit an expert voice on U.S. Naturalization policy and administration and other issues pertaining to civic engagement. The ideal candidate will have the capacity to cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships at the grassroots and grasstops levels to support partners through the New Americans Campaign network, recruit volunteers and conduct outreach to Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) to promote the organization’s U.S. Naturalization application assistance services. They will communicate clearly and effectively in English and Spanish, both written and oral, and will be comfortable with public speaking, including participation in media interviews in different media settings in both languages.

This position reports to the Southeast Director of Civic Engagement and requires travel, consistent with organizational policies and public health guidelines and standards. If the incumbent is assigned to the organization’s California, Texas, or Northeast Regional Offices, they will be required to attain U.S. Department of Justice accreditation within a reasonable amount of time from the date of hire to represent applicants before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in the Orlando Metropolitan Area, with an annual compensation range of $65,000 - $68,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
