Description:The Technical Assistant to the Vice
President, Research and Technology is
responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Working with R&T leadership to maintain and
execute business rhythms.
- Working with the VP R&T, in strategic planning
and related initiatives.
- Coordinating and collaborating with other TAs
for the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and other VPs.
- Building and maintaining briefings to be
presented to LM or externally as requested.
- Participating in meetings as directed by the VP
R&T, tracking action items, establishing
deadlines for follow up and ensuring closure.
- Collating metrics and preparing Monthly
Operating Reports.
- Strategic calendar planning and preparing VP
R&T for key executive meetings.
- Collecting, integrating and editing R&T weekly SITREPS and Accomplishments and collecting R&T inputs for the CTO Newsletter.
- Understanding actions and due dates from the
CTO office and ensuring their timely completion.
Moderate travel required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of
technical, management and customer chains of
command.
• Experience with customers and strong
customer relationship skills.
• Experience interacting with senior leaders at
Lockheed Martin.
• Ability to work alone, under pressure and in
teams.
• Excellent written, verbal and
briefing/presentation and communications skills.
• Ability to perform research and analysis,
synthesize results and present findings.
• Strong project management skills with latest
digital tools.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited school
• Minimum 8 Years professional experience.
• Ability to obtain Secret level clearance (US citizenship)
Desired Skills:
* Masters degree or PhD in a related field from an accredited school.
* DoD Secret clearance
* A strong and broad technical background in
multiple, high-technology, defense-related
fields.
* Self-motivated full-spectrum individual with
strong desire to demonstrate outstanding
performance in all assignments.
* Program or project management experience.
* Exposure to at least one other functional or
operational role: Engineering & Technology,
Operations, Production, Supply Chain,
Sustainment.
* Agile mindset that can operate from strategic
to tactical.
* Experience interacting with senior leaders in
the government, and international organizations.
* LDP or ATLP graduate desired.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
