Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Associate to support the Machining Operations Center (MOC) located within our Orlando, FL campus. The MOC specializes in producing ultra-precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro-optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications.

Responsibilities may include one or more of the following: - Create work instructions detailing the appropriate equipment, methods, special processes, tools and fixturing required to manufacture our complex components.
- Design of special tools and fixtures required to support manufacturing.
- Provide manufacturing floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
- Perform Root Cause analysis and implement effective Corrective Action to address quality related issues.
- Investigate, propose, and implement technology to reduce costs and/or improve quality.
- Utilize CAM software for CNC programming
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Note: This is a 2nd shift position.

Seeking recent or May graduates to begin either January 2024 or May 2024.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering

- Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks

- Experience with CNC machines, mills, or lathes through internships or University work

-The candidate must be a US citizen.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CNC machines
- Experience with production manufacturing
- Lean Six Sigma
- G-code
- CAM software such as Siemens NX or MasterCam
- Root Cause Analysis
- Interest in metal machining, tooling, and the processes used to manufacture machined precision components
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
