Job Description
This job is responsible for investigating complex, unrepresented claims which typically will include: uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi car accidents, and unrepresented moderate or major claims. The individual also may handle complex CPL claims or specialized claims (e.g., business interruption, loss of income, E&O policies, etc.). The individual takes recorded statements, resolves loss of use claims, makes payments to appropriate parties, and negotiates and settles or refers bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.** Preferred candidate will have Florida Attorney Represented Bodily Injury claims adjusting experience ** Key ResponsibilitiesAssists in researching or responding to or resolving complex compliance issues and in reviewing files and making recommendations to refer files to Home Office for escalation
Researches and responds to complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
Sets initial reserve, updates reserve, documents rationale and claim summary notes
Determines and explains minimum coverage limits in complex claims involving single or multiple claimants
Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision making process
Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
Researches, responds to, or participates in Department of Insurance complaints or investigations
Reviews medical reports in preparation for claims settlement evaluation
Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices
Determines claim value
Education4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $50,400.00 - 76,125.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.At National General, great things happen when our people work together.
