JOB SUMMARY:Supervises the onsite administration of Environmental, Health, Safety and Risk (EHSR) related UO, UPR, Federal and State programs within the respective area of responsibility. Responsible for facilitating EHSR communication via consultations, reports, and meetings. Collaborate on corrective action planning and administration regarding EHSR related capital and EHSR related projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Supervise, respond, consult, document, and report on all ride and show maintenance activities for compliance with applicable Federal, State, Local, UOR, and UPR Environmental, Health, Safety and Risk (EHSR) policies and procedures. Ensure effective planning and scheduling for EHSR when supervising preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and part procurement.
- Audit/Inspect Preventative Maintenance Tasks/Job Plans, Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures, Basic Ride Access Control Procedures, Confined Space Entries, and other EHSR related processes and equipment within the assigned area and provide training and development when applicable.
- Research and prepare reports regarding accident/incident investigations, risk assessments, injury/illness trends, ATS closures, and monthly venue housekeeping/safety inspections. Analyze outcomes to manage EHSR priorities based on calculated risk factors.
- Assist in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, EHSR notifications, and training programs. Ensure all safety equipment is maintained in acceptable condition. Maintain records of completed safety projects. Plan, Prepare, and Host Safety Meetings within the assigned area.
- Interface and coordinate with counterparts in other Departments and Divisions on a regular basis to ensure delivery of quality product, maintain a high level of safety, and respond to attraction interruptions involving EHSR in an expedient manner.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Technical school/Associates degree in Technology or Bachelors Degree (BS, BA) in Environmental, Health, Safety or Risk is preferred.
- 5+ years in safety or technical/trade experience is required.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience is required;
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Environmental, Health, Safety or Risk certification is preferred
- NAARSO level 1 certification is preferred
Manages all safety activities for rides, shows, back of house services, and guest interactive areas for specific area.
