Detroit Metro Times is looking for engaging, dynamic, and hard-working folks to join our advertising sales team!  No sales experience is necessary, but is a plus; we will train the right people.

Potential Sales Stars will possess the following:

  • Charismatic and outgoing personality

  • Persuasive and influential

  • Strong communication skills

  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done

  • Decent computer skills (smartphone, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

What you’ll do:

  • Sell print and digital advertising solutions through cold calling, appointments, and presentations

  • Encourage clients to participate in events and secure event sponsorships

  • Represent Detroit Metro Times in the community and be a Brand Ambassador

  • Have a lot of fun while working hard

What you’ll get:

  • Base salary + commission = $50,000 average 1st year compensation
