The Sales Department Administrator is responsible for operationally managing sales department, including trafficking all sales through their process from sold to execution, managing the backend of accounts running advertising campaigns on behalf of sales reps, providing administrative support to the sales team and management, and performing any other assigned duties with a high-level competency.


This role entails, but is not limited to, the following expectations:


  • Handle all booking, production, trafficking and payment for clients under you care
  • Be a trafficking hub for all things digital and facilitate booking and trafficking of ads and paperwork for digital advertising to and through the appropriate channels and ensure proper execution of campaigns and distribution of reports
  • Accurate and timely entering/editing/removing ads placed by Account Executives
  • Perform any and all duties, as needed, regarding customer service and care for accounts
  • Forge positive working relationships with clients to become indispensable and their ‘go to’ for anything regarding their account
  • Work closely with sales reps, who will perform the majority of the selling-activities with accounts to ensure all details regarding client campaigns are executed flawlessly
  • Deliver excellent customer service and relationship management to clients and internal personnel
  • Provide support to clients, managers and other sales team members which facilitate a more efficient and effective sales department, and lead to higher levels of overall sales productivity
  • Assist Publisher, Director of Sales and Operations Manager, as needed
  • Inform clients about upcoming special issues, events, themed issues or opportunities they may want to purchase, facilitating sales, and help reps and the department achieve their sales goals
  • Produce affidavits for all line ads and legals
  • Assist in creating/maintaining sales materials
  • Assist in preparing for weekly sales meetings and all internal sales tracking in the department
  • Assist preparing sales presentations and collateral
  • Produce reports as needed for account reps and management
  • Work with accounting and assist sales in addressing customer account balance issues
  • Professionally represents Euclid Media Group’s and publication’s brand and philosophy at all times
  • Assist and cover for other administrative personnel when needed


  • Attend required sales training sessions to understand products, the sales process, and issues facing the sales department
  • Assist in handling inbound and outbound sales calls
  • Run ad-hoc reports as needed
  • Remain well informed about current industry trends, news and development and being able to talk intelligently about the alternative news industry in the assigned area
  • Attend and/or volunteer at publication events
  • Other duties as assigned
